I work with individuals across Ontario who are looking for a calmer way forward — people who feel caught in old patterns, weighed down by stress or anxiety, or simply longing for a sense of steadiness again.

A Bird‑Rooted Way of Working

The name Take Flight Counselling reflects the natural rhythms of healing: moments of rest, moments of reflection, and moments of quiet lift. I often use gentle bird imagery — settling, perching, softening wings, sensing lift — because it mirrors the way many people move through change.

Some days we glide. Some days we flap hard just to stay in the air. Some days we need a safe perch to rest and gather ourselves.

Therapy becomes that perch — a steady branch where you can pause, breathe, and reconnect with your own inner direction.

The Osprey: A symbol of resilience and transformation

The Osprey has always been a quiet guide in my work — a bird that adapts to shifting winds, rises from difficult waters, and finds its way through changing seasons. Its presence reflects the heart of therapy here: the belief that you can move through challenge, reclaim your strength, and rise in your own time.

Just as the Osprey lifts from water with determination and grace, you, too, can emerge from what feels heavy and rediscover your capacity to take flight.
